The Flying Doctors : Chris gets the shock of her life when she is called out on an emergency: the patient is Tom Callagan. The community of Coopers Crossing, and Chris, find it difficult to understand why Tom has not visited them since his return from Africa. They are even more offended when he is off hand and anti-social at the welcome home party they organise for him. En-route back to the farm Tom is working on, pilot David goes in to anaphylactic shock when he is stung by wasps. Tom is forced to perform an emergency tracheotomy. Without a pilot, it's up to Chris to guide Tom back down to earth. Before he returns to the farm, Tom has an intimate chat with Chris and she begins to understand why he has been so detatched.
