The Bold and the Beautiful: Brooke makes an announcement that stuns her friends and family, Ridge is then angry that she didn't fire Rick and appoint Thorne as president. Bridget tells Taylor that she doesn't think it's fair that Rick has to leave when he's done so much. Pam does some damage control, Marcus and Owen are at a loss for words with Rick still being president of Forrester. Steffy thinks she's the one that should leave Stephanie and Eric say that she isn't going anywhere. Taylor tells Bridget that Brooke is making the right decision for once. Stephanie asks Rick if he got to Brooke somehow, Ridge storms off and says that he can't look at Brooke right now. Owen tells Bridget that Brooke couldn't go through with it. Brooke wonders where Ridge has gone off to. Ridge turns to Taylor for comfort and she looks in his eyes and realizes that Brooke didn't come through. Stephanie tells Taylor that Eric was very much relieved that Rick wasn't going anywhere.
