As a Ma – as her daughter Carol (Olivia Colman) calls her- we don\'t see much of her motherly side, however until her older days she continues to be kind ad understanding. The political aspect of the Iron Lady, is one of a fighter, a fierce human being; wavering between ethnicism and humanitarianism from the one hand, especially on the early days, and on the other hand a strong conviction and belief that her decisions were for the better. The film does provide an account of the rises and falls of the Thathcerian years and the proud, ostentatious even attitude of Maggie herself. A series of events of the contemporary British History that most of the nation will be able to relate to. Margaret Thatcher has been a highly debatable figure who received both praise and strong criticism by civilians and political circles. The viewer should not expect the movie to be neither a documentary nor a historical account but rather the days and tales of an extraordinary individual who left her mark in the political history and became a great inspiration for women. Phyllida Lloyd, provides the story of Margaret Thatcher in the most cinematic and theatrical way supported by Meryl Streep\'s Oscar standard performance and this is a good enough reason for cine lovers irrelevant of political views and ideologies. A movie for the young to learn and for the older to remember…an absolute joy of the wide screen! \$

His character deals with unsettling secrets of his dying wife and his broken relationships with his two troubled daughters. Forced to deal with the consequences of neglecting his family, Clooney does a great job capturing conflicting and powerful emotions. Shailone Woodley does a wonderful job as the rebellious older daughter, who captures the anger and hurt of a teenager betrayed by her mother and abandoned by her father. Her relationship with her father is the heart of the movie, and they slowly learn to rely on each other for support and strength in dealing with the loss of their mother/wife. The film has a wonderful supporting cast that adds humanity and heart to the tragic story. Nick Krause stands out as the oldest daughter\'s friend, who adds a touch of laughter and perspective to the film. His open and carefree personality grates on the characters initially but helps them to eventually gain perspective on the tragic events. Overall, the Descendants was an excellent movie that captures the raw emotions of a family dealing with betrayal, pain, and loss and learning to draw together for love and support.$

It is beautifully written, photographed and directed. The acting is strong on all fronts -- Children adults and ghosts respectively!$

Smiley considers that the failure of the Hungary operation and the continuing success of Operation Witchcraft (an apparent source of significant Soviet intelligence) confirms this, and takes up the task of finding him. Through the efforts of Peter Guillam, Smiley obtains information that eventually leads him to Jim Prideaux, the agent at the heart of the Hungary fiasco. He is then able to put together the pieces of the puzzle, which lead him to the identity of the mole and the true intent of Operation Witchcraft. Review: Tomas Alfredson\'s Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is one of the best British films for a long time and perhaps my film of the year. There is not much I can criticise about the film, the plot, adapted from the best-selling novel by John Le Carre, is top-notch; Alfredson\'s direction captures the Cold War perfectly and there is certainly nothing to criticise about its performances. This film has some of the best British actors working today, with Gary Oldman leading as George Smiley, an experienced spy with a troubled past, Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hardy as operatives caught up in the hunt for a Russian mole, who could be a number of high-ranking men in MI6, including Colin Firth and Toby Jones and, as John Hurt\'s Control may suspect, Smiley himself. I recommend this film not only to people who enjoy espionage/ cold war thrillers but anyone who appreciates film in its excellence and a showcase of Oscar-worthy performances.$

The Girl with the Dr

As they work together in the investigation, Blomkvist and Salander uncover immense corruption beyond anything they have ever imagined. Review: David Fincher, known for his intensely gloomy films; directs the American adaptation of Stieg Larsson\'s book. Having not read the book or having seen the Swedish film I wasn\'t entirely sure what was coming, but held high expectations because of the cast and director. With established greats like Christopher Plummer and Stellan Skarsgård acting was bound to be good, however, Rooney Mara is the one who steals the show. Rooney plays the role of Lisbeth Salander, an anti-social hacker with a hate for men who abuse women. She helps Mikael Blomkvist research the Vanger family history in hopes to reveal which family member was responsible for the disappearance of another 40 years earlier. The film has a great flow to it and kept my full interest throughout. Everything about the film was flawless. The score, cinematography, direction, acting were all brilliant, but nothing comes close to Rooney Mara\'s breakthrough performance. Rooney Mara\'s portrayal of Lisbeth is one that can\'t be missed and one you won\'t forget. She has now proved herself as an elite actress. With Fincher\'s magic and Mara\'s acting this is easily the year\'s best film.$

Young Adult (2011)

Review: Growing old can be tough for a lot of people. This film gives an intriguing examination of this fact and incorporates it into a fine story. In one of the best films of 2011, Charlize Theron generates well-deserved Oscar Buzz for her believable performance as Mavis Gary, a tween-novel writer who comes to terms with her adulthood. I also must compliment the performance of Patton Oswalt, an underrated actor who succeeds as a disabled man who befriends Mavis. This film\'s story could have turned out to be another dreadful romantic comedy, but its execution makes it truly special. Every scene is shot with subtlety and finesse to show off the well-blended comedic and dramatic aspects. As you look at the style of directing, you will notice the true talent of Jason Reitman (along with the script-writing genius of Diablo Cody). After seeing this, I am quite interested in checking out Juno. Hopefully, it will be as good as this selection of cinematic gold.$

There are several plot twists that are unexpected, also. It starts off a little slowly, but once it gets going it moves along at a very quick pace. For some reason this movie is receiving some bad reviews on IMDb. Go ahead and give this movie a chance, I don\'t think you\'ll be disappointed. Overall, not a bad way to spend an hour and a half. Better than its receiving credit for.$

Sherlock Holmes: A G

$Watch Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows 123moviesfree-Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey, Jr.) and his longtime trusted associate, Doctor Watson (Jude Law), take on their arch-nemesis, Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris), with the help of Holmes\'s older brother Mycroft Holmes (Stephen Fry) and a gypsy named Sim (Noomi Rapace). Review: This movie was absolutely fantastic. I have been waiting for it for what feels like forever now and it truly did not disappoint. The storyline was clever, the dynamic between Watson and Holmes was charming and beautiful, and the effects were incredible. Honestly, as much of a fan I am of the first movie, its sequel surpassed it and my overall expectation. Some the effects were unnecessary at times, but I really enjoy the style in which these movies are edited. It can be slightly confusing periodically, another reason to rewatch, still pay attention closely. Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr.\'s chemistry was compelling and the supporting actors were on par. I laughed, I nearly screamed, and I even cried. Game of Shadows is gripping, exciting, hilarious,and even draws tears. You\'ll be cheering throughout and satisfied with the end. Too be honest, it is absolutely one of the best movies of this year.$

The Sitter (2011)

$Watch The Sitter 123moviesfree-A comedy about a college student on suspension who is coaxed into babysitting the kids next door, though he is fully unprepared for the wild night ahead of him. Review: Hilarious from start to finish, The Sitter injected a much-needed R-rated comedy boost to the draggy awards season of December. Jonah Hill delivers another funny performance, but the real surprise for me was the shocking pro-gay message featuring one of the first kid-related gay story lines in a mainstream film. Max Records, the awesomely talented kid from Where the Wild Things Are, has no problem with the content and easily delivers a calculated performance. I guess I was so surprised because gay content is rarely dealt with so carefully in a Hollywood film marketed toward young adults, and I have to say I was really impressed. The kids make the movie all the better, and each of them is given a relatively well-developed backstory. The movie never sputters out, running at a perfect pace and hitting all the right punches. Even Sam Rockwell is awesome as a crazy could-be-gay drug dealer who chases the sitter and the children all across town. The Sitter is a movie I\'d easily recommend and another fun treat from director David Gordon Green.$
